Subbuさんのご家族が東山先生を訪問

インドのIndian Institute of Technology Gandhinagarに所属するSubbuさん（Dr. Subramanian Sankaranarayanan）が、ご家族とともに東山研究室を訪問されました。

Subbuさんは名古屋大学時代の東山研究室で研究員として活躍されており、現在は東京大学に1か月間滞在されています。

今回の訪問ではご家族も研究室に来てくださり、久しぶりの再会を楽しむ和やかな時間となりました。東山先生はお子さんの成長ぶりに驚かれ、「前に会ったときはまだ赤ちゃんだったね」と笑顔で話されていました。

研究を通じて築かれた国際的なつながりと長年の交流を感じられる、心温まるひとときとなりました！

Dr. Subramanian Sankaranarayanan and Family with Professor Higashiyama

Dr. Sankaranarayanan, now a faculty member at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN), was previously a postdoctoral researcher in Professor Higashiyama’s laboratory at Nagoya University. He is currently visiting the University of Tokyo for one month.

During their visit, lab members had the pleasure of catching up with Dr. Sankaranarayanan and meeting his family. Professor Higashiyama was especially happy to see how much his son had grown, remembering that he was just a baby the last time they met.

The visit was a heartwarming reminder that scientific collaborations often grow into lasting friendships that continue across institutions, countries, and generations !
