東山先生がみどりの学術賞を受賞、紫綬褒章を受章されました!

このたび、東山先生が、第20回みどりの学術賞を受賞されるとともに、紫綬褒章を受章されました。

みどりの学術賞は、植物、森林、自然保護など「みどり」に関する学術上の顕著な功績に対して授与される賞であり、紫綬褒章は、科学技術や学術分野における優れた業績に対して授与される栄誉ある章です。東山先生の植物生殖研究分野における先駆的な研究成果が高く評価されました。

また、紫綬褒章の受章式後には、東山先生が式典でいただいたお菓子を研究室メンバーにも分けてくださり、研究室内でも特別なひとときを共有することができました!

改めまして、このたびのご受賞・ご受章、誠におめでとうございます。

Prof. Higashiyama with Prof. Sasaki at the 20th Midori Ceremony

Prof. Higashiyama has recently received the 20th Midori Academic Prize and the Medal with Purple Ribbon.

The Midori Academic Prize is awarded for outstanding academic achievements related to greenery, including plants, forests, and nature conservation, while the Medal with Purple Ribbon is a prestigious honor recognizing exceptional accomplishments in science and academic fields. Prof. Higashiyama’s pioneering research in plant reproduction has been highly recognized.

After the Medal with Purple Ribbon award ceremony, Prof. Higashiyama shared sweets from the ceremony with lab members, and we were very happy to celebrate this special occasion together!
